camera lesson #1… read the manual

So did you get started on Camera Lesson #1?  I didn’t get nearly has far in my manual as I was hoping.  I guess for me the manual reads about like the techy blog stuff used to.  (Starts out making no sense at all until all of a sudden… it does!)

Nikon CoolPix S6100 has an Image Mode that sets quality and image size.  I decided to make that my first attempt to really understand my camera.  HA!  No luck.

I thought my method was pretty crafty though!  I changed the image mode and the letter at the same time.  Then I wrote the letter next to the image mode in my manual so when I looked at them later it would be an easy way to tell which pic was which.  I didn’t see a difference.  So I went to my Hubby.  He then explained that you can’t see the quality difference on the computer… that’s why they recommend one of the lesser qualities.  Since I adjust the size when I put the pics in a post… it’s pretty irrelevant.

I’ll admit I was bit frustrated that I wasted my time, until I remembered just how hard blogging was for me at first.  There are so many things to know about my camera (and blogging ;) ).  It’s hard to know where to start.  So, at least I started!

I decided to extend read the manual to lesson #2.

Did you have better luck than I did?
