How to make a fairy land garden

Making a fairy land garden has been on my must-do list for a while. When I first read through my copy of Camp Mom! Summer Activities Pack the fairy garden caught my eye. Rachelle from Tinkerlab has been a favorite of mine of a long, long time. I love her tips and ideas for making a fairy land garden.

What you need: small plants (we used cacti), mini houses, dirt, moss and a little creativity.

We spent one day making the fairy land garden accessories. M and M each painted a bird house. I made signs for a mini vegetable garden.

The next day we took a trip to the garden store and picked out cacti.

On the third day we spent sometime putting it all together.

(You could make your fairy garden all at once, but I kind of liked the way we did it. We spent so long on the accessories it was nice to start fresh when putting it all together.)

The clothes line is my favorite part of the garden. Little M had those mini clothes pins (perfect!).

It’s been a pretty long time since we’ve engaged in an extended project like this together. I forgot how wonderful it is.
