Christmas gift idea… homemade gifts

I’ve given you an idea for a practical and fun gift.  I’ve let you in on a wonderfully delicious unique gift idea.  What’s left?  Sometimes the best gifts are homemade.  Here are some fun and simple homemade gifts that would make great pretend play toys!

I used an old tissue box and a pudding box to make Big M a car wash and gas pump for his match box cars.

I love this simple cardboard Tree House from FamilyFun.go.com.

These tents are so so cute!  LearningTable.blogspot.com made them from felt and a cereal box.

Of course if you are camping you need a canoe!  Brilliant idea from domesticcandy.blogspot.com.

Want to add a little fantasy to your playscape?  How about Repunzel’s Castle beautifully made by Pinkandgreenmama.blogspot.com.

Put together a few of these fun cardboard toys and your little one could be greeted Christmas morning with a magical pretend play world!

First off I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Thank you!

Hi Tessa! I think those first 10-15 minutes of figuring out how to begin are an important part of the process. ;) I have to squeeze blogging in my day. Sometimes I have only a short amount of time and do my best to write. I know that when I have a large chunk of time (1-2 hours) my writing is so much better and comes so much easier.

      I hope that helps!

      Jill
