Letter of the week ~ G ~ Glitter Glue

I knew that the letter G was approaching and quite frankly, I was dreading it.  I despise glitter, okay probably not despise, but really dislike.  I don’t mind things that make a mess, in fact I rather enjoy a mess. . .as long as the mess can be cleaned up.  Glitter sticks to everything and spills really easy and never seems to be totally gone.  While I was busy trying to think of other G things that could replace glitter, I had an idea.  This may be one of my better ideas.  I might call this a brilliant idea.  PUT THE GLITTER INTO THE GLUE!!!  Although I am not the first person to have thought of it, I feel pretty smart to be putting it into action!

what you need: Letter G ~ glue bottle ~ glitter

I let Little M add the glitter to the glue bottle (it was about 3/4 full of glue).
She started pressing the glitter into the bottle with a paintbrush, but it took a little effort so I ended up doing it.  Of course by the time we got to the activity the glitter had all settled at the bottom and I had to work it back up.  I think next time I will just pour it on top and see what happens.
Printout the letter G, cut it out, and glue it onto a piece of construction paper.  Then you can just hand your little one the glitter glue and the letter G!

When the glue dries it leaves a sparkley glitter G.  And Mommy didn’t even have to clean up a glitter mess!  YIPEE!
