rake up some FALL fun

Sick days are piling up around here so when the beautiful fall weather started calling to the kids I was glad to bundle them up and head out back.  The backyard needed a good cleaning so I brought out the rakes and brooms, but who can get any cleaning done when there is fall fun to be had?!?!?

Of course there was raking.

A little brainstorming and “leaf planning”.

A lot of team work.

Some rolling around.

Eventually M and M made a nest… which reminded them of the birds in the Magic Tree House book they just read with their Aunt L… which led to an impromptu game of Jack and Annie (in their “tree house” of course)… which left the leaves in a neat little pile for me to clean up.  I just love fall!

This is a part of the Fall lesson plan.
