Shout out your age with OLAY!

I celebrated my birthday last month. I am now 35. THIRTY FIVE!!! This new year has me resetting my goals and dreams…and I am so very grateful.

You see, 34 was the year that I reached many (if not most) of my life long dreams. Everything in my past set the stage for one year that hit me like a whirlwind of excitement, changes and accomplishments.

I am not the only one reaching a milestone this year! Olay is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Just like always, Olay empowers women to challenge what’s possible and to be proud of their age. Olay is asking us to SHOUT OUT our age. I for one am happy to do so.

At 34 I…

…settled into a creative outlet that has held my attention longer than anything else I’ve tried (and trust me I have tried many, many things). Blogging/ writing/ kid activities makes me want to learn more, keeps my mind racing with ideas and allows me to help parents. All at the same time!

…became a surrogate. Even before I had kids I knew being a surrogate was something I wanted to do. Having kids strengthened the desire to help grow a family. Starting the process turned a dream into a longing that was finally realized this past summer.

…published my first eBook. I launched Raising a Creative Kid in July. The response has been fantastic and I’m grinning from ear to ear!

…figured out how to contribute to our family finances while still acting as a stay at home mom. Oh yes this about the blog again. I’m not making as much as I want to (yet ;)) but I’m certainly on the right track.

For 35 and beyond I hope to…

…take an Alaskan cruise with my hubby. This has been on our list since before we were married. I imagine it’s quite a ways off, but still fun to dream about.

…publish a book that I can hold in my hands. A children’s book, a novel or another parenting book (any of these would be AWESOME!!!) Of course lumped in with this is taking a writing course, joining a writing group and learning as much as I can about writing.

… find an exercise routine that I actually enjoy, so that I can be as passionate about working out as I am about work.

Thank you Olay for inspiring me to take a minute to focus on what my number really means! Congrats on 60 years – you are aging gracefully!!!

Will you shout out your age? What’s next on your life list?

I just turned 37 and I didn’t shout it out. I’m just glad to be around for my kids. I guess my life plan now involves educating my children and seeing them become productive adults.

I am 34 and some how don’t feel or look like I am in my mid thirties (which is fine with me)-I would love to take the plunge and make a purchase to further my hobby(:
    Thank you for the opportunity!

I would shout out my age but, at my age I’d probably just be looked at as a nut. I think I would have felt more comfortable about doing that 10 or 15 years ago. Next on my life list is appreciating retirement and what I can do with it. Hopefully travel and be helpful to others.

I am not afraid to shout my age at all. I need to spend more time breathing and quieting my mind. Peace is where it is at.

I’m 43 ! Doesn’t feel like it though – my toddler keeps me young at heart. Some of the items still on my life list: learn to make wine, learn sign language (although I have a few words now), and see Carmen performed in Spain (in original French)

There are many things on my list of what I want to do but one of my top priorities is developing some type of income from home. I no longer enjoy driving to and from work on ice and snow in the winter and my job doesn’t provide a virtual workplace.
For fun I want to take a ride in a hot air balloon (in spite of my fear of heights), go white water rafting and visit Italy again.

I turned 35 this most and am proud to share it because these years have brought me so much. One of my dreams is to be able to visit Scotland and the small town that my great grandpa was born in.

I will be 31 next month and I have no reason not to shout it out! I am a mom to four amazing children and very happy with everything I have accomplished in my life. My next step is for my husband and I to work towards purchasing our first home so that we will have more room to have another child or more.
