Finally, the day S and T had been waiting 2 weeks for! Our second trip to the zoo. They worked so hard and learned so much through this whole process(if you missed the last 2 days click here and here).
On our way out of the zoo, we stopped at the gift shop. S and T picked out what they wanted and then we headed to the cashier. I let each of them pay the cashier with their money. They were so proud to be walking out of the store holding a bag that held what they had bought.
My girls play with stuffed animals more than toys, so their purchases did not surprise me at all!
Tips to maximize learning: 1. Explain that each item has a price and what the price is for. 2. Talk about the different prices between items(which item costs more or less).
